Roma Norte
π‘ Most classes are in Spanish but the teachers often provide English cues if asked. The Saturday morning class attracts the most international crowd.
Condesa
π‘ The altitude at 2,240m is no joke β take it easy your first week. Coaches understand this and will scale for newcomers. The Saturday community WOD is the best session.
Condesa
π‘ Hot yoga at altitude is intense β bring way more water than you think. The intro week pass is incredible value for new students.
Polanco
π‘ The Polanco area has the most English-speaking staff of any location. The pool is 25m and rarely crowded before noon.
Roma Norte
π‘ The Roma location is walkable from most nomad apartments in the area. Ask about the weekly pass β not always on the website but available at the desk.
Roma Norte
π‘ At $5 per visit or $24/month, you really can't complain. Equipment is basic but functional. Multiple locations around the city so pick whichever is closest to your Airbnb.
Roma Sur
π‘ DM them on Instagram to book your first class β they'll ask about your experience level. Less English than CrossFit Condesa, but basic Spanish goes a long way.
Narvarte
π‘ Shoe rental is 50 MXN. The community is super welcoming β don't be shy about asking for beta on problems. Tuesday evenings seem to be the social night.
Roma Norte
π‘ Boxing at altitude is a lung-burner. Start with the lighter classes and work up. Gloves and wraps are provided, but bring your own wraps if you're particular.
JuΓ‘rez
π‘ Minimal English spoken but the universal language of lifting applies. Bring your own towel and water bottle. The morning crowd is mostly serious lifters.
Chapultepec
π‘ Bring a swim cap β it's required. The pool is outdoor so bring sunscreen too. Early morning is best for serious lap swimming before the lessons start.
Chapultepec
π‘ The altitude will humble you β expect to run 30-60 seconds per km slower than at sea level for the first two weeks. The Saturday route through the forest is gorgeous.
Chapultepec
π‘ Go in the morning β the park closes at sunset and it's safer before noon. The second section is quieter than the first and has better workout equipment.
