Nomad Tip

Run counter-clockwise — that's the convention. There are coin-operated shower facilities (ランステ) near some metro exits. The Jimbocho RunBase station offers locker + shower for ¥800.

    The Imperial Palace loop is one of the most iconic urban running routes in the world. Perfectly maintained, always other runners around for safety, and the views of the palace moat are stunning. The RunBase shower stations are a genius Japanese touch.
